Evening of Friendship 2008
Home > Evening of Friendship

The event, hosted by Mark and Vanessa Barr was an outstanding success!

June 12th, 2008 was a brilliant evening and marked a milestone in the growth of services for the homeless in Oakville.

The residents and graduates of HSH who joined us for the evening spoke of the palpable sense of caring that they felt, a graciousness that was established first and foremost by our hosts.

And there was great joy at the outstanding amount raised at the evening - $34,000! This will make a tremendous difference in our growing service for homeless women and children with the purchase of a modest apartment building in Oakville. The success of the evening was entirely due to our caring patrons, the Barr family, and to you our guests, who gave so generously.

As well, with the debut that evening of our new video, we are now able to tell the story of Home Suite Hope as an innovative homelessness initiative right here in Oakville. This video captures the essence of the need and the work that we do and was generously donated by Sean Buckley of Buck Productions.  It can be viewed on the website, under the MEDIA tab.

The Board of Home Suite Hope is grateful for the support of our Evening of Friendship Patrons.
