Thank you to everyone who helped make Empty Bowls 2015 such an amazing success!

Empty Bowls is Home Suite Hope’s annual fundraising event to raise funds to support homeless single parent families. All proceeds go towards housing, education, and skills training to help families get back on their feet when facing homelessness.

More than 400 bowls are donated by potters, potter’s guilds, and individuals like you in the community, and delicious soups are prepared and ladled out by Oakville’s most eminent chefs. Chef creations have soup lovers begging for more! In past years we have welcomed chefs from Cora’s, Dana Hospitality, Jennifer’s Kitchen, Jonathan’s Fine Dining, and many more.

Patrons of the event start lining up as early as 11:00 am in order to be first in line to choose their bowl, and have it filled with their choice of delicious soups. At the end of the event you get to take your bowl home as a special souvenir to enjoy, knowing that all the money collected goes directly to supporting Home Suite Hope families. This year the popular soup kitchen event raised close to $75,000 to help provide living accommodation and support for those on the verge of homelessness, as well as advocacy for local affordable housing solutions.

With grateful thanks to our wonderful event sponsors.
