Home Suite Hope is pleased to announce Nazeera Khan is HSH’s new Board Chair as Emma Jarratt’s tenure in the role closes, leaving big shoes to fill. Nazeera will be supported by Rose Sharifi who is now Vice Chair.

Emma is an investigative multimedia journalist in Toronto whose work has been nominated for national awards and appeared in some of Canada’s largest news outlets.
Emma also has a wealth of personal experience and insights she brings to her role at Home Suite Hope. She will continue on the Board as Past Chair.
Nazeera is an authentic and energetic leader with many years of global experience and qualifications and a successful track record in her career. She is an excellent communicator and has a personal interest in continuous learning and development.
Nazeera is originally from South Africa and has visited nearly two dozen countries, loves the outdoors, adventure and fitness which led to her hiking and climbing on Mt. Kilimanjaro. She is fluent in five languages and is learning others. Nazeera’s lived experiences have contributed to her resiliency and a passion about helping and making a difference in the lives of others. She has been a volunteer, mentor and Industry Council coach with HSH as well as serving on its Board, and Governance and Fundraising committees. Nazeera also supports animal rescue and conservation efforts.
Rose is a lawyer dually licensed in Ontario, Canada and California, U.S.A. She is an experienced lawyer with a demonstrated skillset in a variety of practice areas. Rose is skilled in negotiation, legal writing, management and leadership. She completed her J.D. at the University of Ottawa and her undergraduate B.A. (Hons) in Political Science at McMaster University. Rose most recently was Associate General Counsel at Sheridan College. Rose not only serves on the HSH Board but also as Chair of its Governance Committee.

Keeping track of the books: Real treasures in finance
HSH welcomes one of its newer Board members, Robyn Pangman, as Treasurer. Robyn has served on the Board and its Finance Committee and is taking on the position of Treasurer as Kevin Farrell steps down from the HSH Board after many years of noteworthy service.
Kevin joined the HSH Finance Committee in 2021, then joined the Board and became Treasurer. He is an experienced chartered accountant and an accomplished finance leader with extensive multinational experience in the mining, engineering, and not-for-profit sectors. He has a big four background in audit and advisory with a strong technical accounting expertise.
Kevin has lived in Oakville since 2010 and joined HSH after retiring. He is now stepping down to more fully enjoy retirement. He is married with three adult children and he and his wife are active members of St. Jude’s Anglican Church and its Outreach Committee. They often cook at Kerr Street Mission and help in the distribution of food to seniors and those in need. Kevin is also a CRA volunteer who completes tax returns for low-income individuals and families.
HSH is indebted to Kevin for his time, talent and expertise over many years. Thank you, Kevin!
Robyn, born and raised in Oakville, joined Henderson Partners LLP in 2008 and has been a partner there since 2014.
A graduate of Dalhousie University in 2001, Robyn travelled extensively, and then joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in Edinburgh, Scotland where she obtained her CA designation in 2007. She subsequently obtained the Canadian CA designation on her return to Canada in 2008.
Robyn’s specialty is in tax and business advisory services. As a Partner at Henderson Partners, she works closely with professionals, entrepreneurial private companies, their owners and their families. Robyn is actively involved in the community and has held previous board positions on three local community organizations. Outside work, Robyn enjoys being active and spending time with her family.
