New participants attend Onboarding sessions

The beginning of another school year also signals the start of many of our participants’ journey with us.

HSH Program Team will be hosting an intensive week-long Onboarding session at the beginning of September. Onboarding is taking place September 8–14, 2026 at the HSH office and within the community for our Stabilizing First Halton program.

The suite of sessions is designed to welcome participants to HSH and help them become familiar with the program, available supports, and what they can expect over the coming year.

Participants are meeting the HSH team, reviewing program expectations and requirements, are being introduced to the HSH learning platform, and beginning to identify goals and areas they would like to work on throughout the program.

We also have a variety of community partners joining us to provide information sessions on employment, financial and social assistance, community resources, Clear Energy, and other supports available to participants. The week gives the new cohort an opportunity to start together, build connections, and become familiar with HSH before beginning their individual work with their caseworkers.
