Get involved in Home Suite Hope's Hope 4 Holidays 2024

Hope 4 Holidays, HSH’s annual holiday campaign is in full swing. Find out how you can get involved - sponsor a family, help wrap gifts, donate gift cards or household supplies.

Our annual Hope 4 Holidays campaign for the 2024 holiday season is on. This campaign connects HSH’s single parents and their children with the community through the spirit of giving.

There are several ways our community of supporters are getting involved:

Sponsor a Family

Many have stepped up to sponsor a family by purchasing and donating items to fulfill a family’s wish list - though a few last-minute gifts are still welcome for recent additions to our programming.

HSH sends its thanks to this year’s family sponsors, including: Tari Gibson; Ann Millard/Idea Factor Inc.; Lisa Tracey; Ray & Karen Spence; Rebecca Pointon & Family; SPIN/CO Oakville; Miix Analytics; Scotia Wealth Management; Chelsea Antwi; Stacey Bean & Family & Friends; Patsy Mclean; Kaizen Foodservice Planning and Design; Julianna Varpolotai-Xavier & Family; Catherine Sipsis; DKI – Miller Restoration; Dan Cooper Real Estate; Clarity Recruitment; Sarah McAlpine; Traci Howard; United Way Halton & Hamilton; and Jen Hutichinson.

The Halton Shoebox Project has also provided a wrapped shoebox filled with treats for each of our

single parents.

And while the holiday shopping is underway, there’s still lots of help that’s needed.

Wrapping Events

Gifts are being dropped off at our office and soon other corporate and community groups will be

stepping in to wrap the presents.

Among those rolling up their sleeves to assist are: Dan Cooper Real Estate, RBC Halton South,

Mondelez Canada Inc. and Kaizen Foodservice Planning and Design.

Holiday Dinner & Toy Drive

HSH hosts a Holiday Dinner for all its participants and their children. This year it will be held at Mo’s Family Restaurant.

Santa, with thanks to the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar and Ken Coulter, will be visiting te dinner and will bring a toy for each child - thanks to the Oakville Professional Firefighters’ Annual Toy Drive.

We ask that you support the Oakville Professional Firefighters’ Toy Drive which provides toys collected to numerous local charities, including Home Suite Hope. Click here to find out the many different ways you can donate a toy to this worthy cause - just in time for our Holiday Dinner.

It will be those toys that are selected for our participants’ children, then wrapped and handed out by Santa at our Holiday Dinner just ahead of the holidays.

Donate Household & Personal Hygiene Items

We are asking for donations of much-needed household and cleaning products and/or personal

hygiene items. These items will be given to families in a Santa Sack - as an add-on to their holiday

package of gifts. Donations can be dropped off at our 484 Kerr Street, Oakville office. Email

JovelleR@homesuitehope.org to arrange a drop-off time.

PLEASE Consider Donating Gift Cards

We are urgently asking that gift cards be donated - and while it’s nice to have those gift cards for

special treats, it is really those that are most needed by our participants that we are asking for –

grocery, gas or Walmart gift cards. Our participants rely on these gift cards to help support their family with groceries and transportation costs - not just at the holidays but throughout the year.

Gift cards can be dropped off at our office (email JovelleR@homesuitehope.org to arrange a drop-off time) at 484 Kerr Street, Oakville) or donate through CanadaHelps (earmarking Donations for Hope 4 Holidays 2024)
