Home Suite Hope is in the midst of its annual Hope 4 Holidays campaign for the 2022 holiday season.
This campaign connects HSH’s single parents and their children with the community through the spirit of giving.
There are several ways to be involved:
Sponsor a Family
Many generous people have stepped up to sponsor the wish lists of the members of our families. They have been purchasing and dropping off -gifts at our office and volunteer gift wrappers helped wrap the presents.
HSH helpers also picked up toys from the Oakville Firefighters Toy Drive. The toys are in the process of being wrapped and will be delivered to the children of HSH's single parents at the Holiday Dinner. Delivering the goodies will be none other than Santa and Oakville firefighters.
That doesn't mean our campaign is complete.
Donate Household & Personal Hygiene Items
We are now putting out a call to action for people to donate much-needed household and cleaning products and/or personal hygiene products. These are items that are expensive on the grocery bill. HSH fills a Santa sack with the products and gives them to each participant family along with their holiday gift packages.
Donations can be dropped off at our office. Email angelab@homesuitehope.org to arrange a drop-off time and confirm our office location, which is confidential therefore different than our public mailing address.
Donate Gift Cards
We are also asking for donations of gift cards, which families use as an additional support. If you choose to support Hope 4 Holidays in this manner, please donate the gift cards most used by participants – Walmart, grocery and gas gift cards.
Gift cards can be dropped off at our office or donated online at CanadaHelps (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/home-suite-hope-shared-living-corp/ and earmarked for Home Suite Hope Gift Cards/Hope 4 Holidays.
For more information, please contact Angela at angelab@homesuitehope.org.
During this season of giving, Home Suite Hope recognizes our participants come from many backgrounds, cultures, and religions and each family celebrates the holidays in their own way. We respectfully invite the community to join us and share donations to help brighten the holiday season for all of our families.
Thank you for sharing your holiday spirit with our single parents and their families!
